Welcome to our final Perth Velocity season for 2023!

As we wrap up our Championship season in mid September, we have now opened up registrations for our final season for the year, which will be a "recreational" ("rec") season, aimed at being a fun season of hockey for players of varying skill levels.

So that we can enjoy as much hockey as possible before we wrap up for the year, there will only be a short break between seasons - this season will begin on 12 October and run for 8 weeks, with a fixed end date of 30 November.

NEW CLUB MEMBERS FOR 2023 / REFERRALS

New to the club? Welcome! There are some minimum equipment requirements to play inline hockey, which you can find on our Player Resources page.

You will also require club and Skate WA membership and insurance, which is not included in the league registration fee (we will contact you by email to arrange payment and membership after your league registration is received). As membership/insurance expires at the end of the calendar year, we have heavily discounted the total cost of these fees to $65 (usually $105).

If you are an existing 2023 PV member, refer someone new to the club and if they play the full season you'll receive a discount on the next House League season's rego fees! (See Terms and Conditions for more details).

BYO TEAM*

As we did for last year's Spring rec season, we are encouraging players from other clubs (eg people who play ice hockey together) to submit their team and play together. It's a great opportunity for us to welcome new members and show them what our inline hockey is all about!

If you have 6-9 players keen to submit a team, there will be a space to input the team details during registration.

*Note: One of our values in House League is to try to maintain relatively even teams. Teams wanting to play together should ideally be lower than div 3 ice, or perhaps a reasonably skilled SRHL team. See the Terms and Conditions for full details and limitations.

OTHER KEY INFO

• As with our previous rec seasons, players will be drafted into one-off teams.
• For the first time ever, once rego closes players will have the opportunity to contribute to player rankings. More info on this to come.
• With the short turnaround between seasons, the House League Committee may draft teams (as happened last year), or arrange a captains' draft, this will be decided once ranking is completed.
• Sets of jerseys will again be loaned out for players who need them.
• The final format of the season will be confirmed once we know how many teams we have.
• As with our previous rec season, the winning team will be awarded an opportunity to celebrate by enjoying a meal together.
• Players will again be limited to 3 goals each per game this Rec season, to encourage sharing the glory with your teammates!
